It’s time for HALLOWEEN

If you know anything about us….you MUST know we love Halloween.  It’s our favorite holiday!  So we’re making an excuse for you to get dressed up one extra day.  Friday, October 28th…all day long.  $50 for a mini shoot IN COSTUME, walk-ins available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

We highly recommend booking ahead of time. 212.396.1160

The price alone is worth it to see what we are dressing up as!  Previous years brought you the CK Manhattan girls as Toy Story characters, The Cat in the Hat (with Thing One and Thing Two), and Alvin and the Chipmunks. What is sillier than a bunch of grown women all dressed up? Not much.

If you can guess who we will be this year….we’ll shoot you for free!  And, no, it doesn’t count if we’ve told you already.  But, good try.

We are still shooting in black and white FILM, so the color you see is all hand-painted by our Ruben from our lab. No one uses oil paint quite like him!

I will leave you with this….

Classic Kids and the Waner Kids

If you are anything like me, you usually take it for granted how lucky you are to be alive with no complications from the day of your birth. It usually takes a friend’s story, a chance meeting, or a passer-by on the sidewalk to compare yourself to. We were fortunate enough to photograph a special group of kids who have been helped by Dr. Waner.

Milton Waner, MD, a Pediatric Plastic Surgeon and Director of the Vascular Birthmark Institute, donates his time and resources to help children in need who are born with life-altering vascular anomalies (hemangiomas, venous malformations, lymphatic malformations, and arterio-venous). Not only are the problems cosmetic, they can be life-threatening. Because they are not something you can hide, the anomalies create a barrier from the rest of the world’s normal acceptance. We wanted to give them all a Classic Kids experience; that way they could all feel the happiness that photos can bring!

They really needed a chance to see how beautiful they really are.

This little guy is Tingyi, and was born with a port wine stain birthmark, along with other issues, and was lucky enough to be sponsored by both the Waner Foundation and the Hannah Storm Foundation. Just look at this before moment:He has grown and changed so much since then, it is ASTOUNDING. Please consider donating to either foundation to help children like these. And ask how Classic Kids rewards the Waner Kids donors! It really is hard to remember how lucky we are.
