Baby, Mommy, and Balloons

What could be better than creating memories together?  Classic Kids sessions are not JUST about taking photos. It’s really about having fun.  Without a great experience, the photos wouldn’t have the same emotional impact.  It’s our mantra, and it’s why we take such great pride in our work. It’s why a set like this just STILL makes us giggle!

We usually have to prod moms to be in photographs.  If you think about it though, these are going to be the photos that will be the most cherished when the kids grow up.  So you should not argue with us because the photos are WORTH it.And when we have props around the studio, like the leftover ones from the Daphne Oz photo shoot for NY Family Magazine we just HAVE to capitalize on cool props. And do it in color.  Yes color.  

Newborn Announcements should be special!

It all starts with an incredible moment.  A new birth, a bigger family, and boundless buckets of joy just overflowing with love.

Now, let’s be honest.  The Facebook post comes next.

This moment is your baby’s introduction to the world (and family and friends and high school buddies that seem to like all of your posts even though you haven’t talked to them in years)!

Let’s be serious.  You can do better than the iPhone pictures you attach!

Take a moment to give yourself and your baby a proper introduction. With a photo like this:

Growing up with Classic Kids

It’s amazing how fast time flies!

We really get attached to our families (read our previous post about LOVE), and love growing old with them. It’s always so special to become a part of the family history!

We met this family back in 2012:

We saw them again when she reached baby parts age (6-9 months old):

 

We saw them again with baby girl #2 and fulfilled a color request:

Can you see the head band used again? Love the idea of sharing hand-me-downs.

We are all so proud to see how our families grow up and grow bigger.  Nothing makes us happier to photograph your family.  And again.  And then photograph them again.  

P.S.  See the Monkey Wrangler tab up top–Darya is holding this big sister when she was 9 months old (or as we like to call it…baby parts age).

And Baby makes Five

It’s no secret that we can’t help but make friends in random places.

We’ve met you, our lovely friends and clients, in chit-chatty places like Starbucks lines…cool spaces like Kidville…charity events at movie theaters like HelpUsAdopt.org …from having parties for “Mom’s Night Out”…from referrals by people like you…at a store like Giggle when shopping for nieces…and I could think of so many more!

So when ABC’s Good Morning America called us for an interview…it was not surprising that we made friends right away.  And we couldn’t take photos with Paula’s pregnant tummy without having her come back to see the new life she brought into the world.

We were lucky to get to know her whole amazing family and capture quiet moments like this that could just go ON and ON forever. Three weeks old and already a star.

We met the proud siblings that fought over who would hold him…

…we saw dreamy smiles…

….created silly poses (p.s. this pose is NOT PhotoShopped)……we used Dad’s loving arms for soothing…

…and we didn’t want to breathe to spoil moments like these!

All in all, it is a rare treat to share special moments with our amazing families.  We cherish each and every second.  It is a gift to be a part of a family history; to create heirloom portraits that will live on your walls for a lifetime or longer.

It is so amazing to see the miracle of a brand new baby.

It’s even more amazing to have the honor of photographing them.

This little guy is so peaceful, so photogenic, and absolutely so loved.

What a life….to enjoy moments like these.

Joy to last Forever

I’m sure there was a time when you felt that the endless sleepless nights would never end.  And I’m sure that there was a time where you felt like time stood still — it ebbed and flowed with every breath of your newborn.  And a time that you wish you can get it all back.

There are people that walk in my door every day and tell me that they WISHED they could have done photos when their baby was brand new.  I know that there are many photographers to choose from, but there are very few who eat, sleep, breathe, and giggle along with your family.

Photographing your family is all that I do.  Don’t miss ANY moment.  Let me share it with you.  I get the joy and the beauty of every little thing that you hold dear.  And YOU get something that will remind you of the times that “were” — and then the moment ….does really…  last forever.
